Musical Odyssey - March 29th and April 5th

** Please note that for the April 12th show, it might end early due to the baseball game, but there is always a chance that the show might run until 3:00 PM EST**

There was not a featured artist on March 29th because the show was scheduled to end early due to the baseball game (however the show did air until 3:00 PM)

On April 5th I featured the music of Yiorgos Batis.

Below is a photo of Yiorgos Batis (he is on the left with his students, outside his cafe at the Lemonadika of Karaiskaki (Tzelepi Coast) (Λεμονάδικα του Καραϊσκάκη - Ακτή Τζελέπη), which he named Georges Baté (Ζώρζ Μπατέ) which turned out to serve a a school for Rebetiko music.

Musical Odyssey - March 1, 2009 and a special Musical Odyssey show this Saturday

Last Sunday Musical Odyssey did not air due to the Lacrosse Game.

On March 1st we featured music conducted by Dimitri Mitropoulos (photo below).

This weekend join me for an additonal Musical Odyssey Show (I will be subbing for Pablo) this Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM EST. I will also be on the air the usual time on Sunday 1:00 - 3:00 PM EST.

We will probably celebarate the birthday of Tonis Maroudas who was born on March 17, 1920.(possibly on Saturday) and Kostas Tournas on Sunday (subject to change).
